New technologies and societal developments are changing the mining industry rapidly. Mines all over the world are more and more equipped with renewable energies. Machinery is changed and adapted to be used at lower energy levels and cost. To take a closer look at these developments, the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce is organizing a bilateral two-day Virtual Conference on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies in Mining which will take place on May 26 & May 27, 2020 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (PDT).
The conference is of interest to all representatives from the mining and energy industry, associations and the media. It will include panel discussions with Canadian and German speakers. The audience will be invited to take part in the questions and answer sessions that follow each panel discussion.
The German Canadian Conference on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies in Mining will also include representatives from a German trade mission to British Columbia which will take place from May 25 - 29, 2020. The Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce organizes the weekly program for the participating companies which will allow them to learn more about the Canadian market. This will include individual B2B meetings between Canadian and German companies. Both, the conference and the trade mission, are part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.
